The MOSFET transistor operates up to 175°C (there’s no locking mechanism like in thyristor regulators, as the technology is different). Additionally, the resistance is much lower (resulting in less heat loss and less heating), so the MOSFET doesn’t even come close to reaching this temperature.
The "standard" MOSFET regulator rectifier is designed to reliably charge motorcycles equipped with average power generators available on the market. However, the built-in additional IC control has been specifically developed for generators with over 400W of power. This method further reduces the regulator's heating, allowing it to handle even higher currents. These regulators also operate using MOSFET technology, but with the added IC control built in.
In other webshops, regulator rectifiers are listed separately for Honda motorcycles and by model type. Why do you only have one universal regulator?
Our product is most commonly ordered for Honda motorcycles compared to all other brands. According to your feedback, the regulator rectifier is most often installed in the Honda VFR 750 and VFR 800, as well as the Honda CBR 600 and CB600 models, which makes sense, as these are the most common models on roads. What was more surprising was that many regulator rectifiers were also ordered for the Honda XL600 and XL650 Transalp models, even though these are less common among motorcyclists.
